This half-day, hands-on workshop will equip you with the tools, skills, and confidence to analyse membership data and build a strategy for sustainable growth. Here’s what we’ll cover:

 

Session 1: Setting the Foundations for Data-Driven Growth

Learn the mindset, perspective, and essential skills needed to review and analyse data in order to develop a membership growth strategy.


Session 2: Measuring and Segmenting Membership KPIs

Learn how to calculate, visualise, and trend membership metrics using the Membership Growth KPI Model. Understand how to segment these KPIs to better target growth opportunities across different member groups.


Session 3: Forecasting Growth and Building Strategic Building Blocks

Using the membership KPIs, learn how to forecast future membership numbers based on today's data, calculate the expected impact of changes you introduce, and build strong OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) — the essential building blocks for creating an effective membership growth strategy.


Session 4: Practising Strategy Building with Test Data

Work in small groups using a test data set to practise analysing information, identifying opportunities, and shaping a membership growth strategy — building your skills and confidence to apply the process in real situations.

 

The workshop will wrap up with a review of what was covered and an opportunity for you to reflect on what you have learnt as you begin to identify how you will apply this learning immediately in your organisation using the practical tools to which you now have access.
